Part III: Trapezoidal link, transverse link, tie rod
1 - Trapezoidal link
^ Different versions
^ Different versions on same vehicle is not permitted
^ Removing and installing
^ Trapezoidal link bushings must not be replaced; replace trapezoidal link if bushings are damaged
2 - Eccentric bolt
^ Perform wheel alignment if loosened
^ Never turn more than 90° in either direction (i.e. from minimum to maximum adjustment position)
3 - Eccentric washer
^ Inner hole with chamfer
4 - Self-locking nut, 95 Nm
^ Always replace
^ Suspension must be in curb weight position when tightening bolt connections
5 - Combi bolt
^ Always replace
^ Tighten to 85 Nm plus an additional 90° 1/4 turn
6 - Lower spring support
^ Turn end of spring against stop
7 - Coil spring
^ Note different suspension versions; see vehicle data sticker
8 - Upper spring support
9 - Upper spring support
10 - Combi bolt
^ Always replace
^ Tighten to 85 Nm plus an additional 90° 1/4 turn
11 - Transverse link
12 - Eccentric bolt
^ Perform wheel alignment if loosened
