Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1783)









1 Rear Lid Trim

• Removal:

- Remove lock cover.

- Remove the flocked screw - 3 - in handle.

- Remove warning triangle.

- Remove bolts - 4 - (Qty. 2).

- Remove bracket for warning triangle - 5 -.

Vehicles with Emergency Release:

- Remove emergency release handle. Refer to => [ Emergency Release Handle, Removing ]

All:

- Loosen ten clips - 2 - on tailgate trim and unclip them from below.

• Installing:

To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order.

2 Clips (Qty. 10)

3 Bolt (Qty. 1)

In handle

• Tightening specification 2 Nm

4 Screws, (Qty. 2)

• Tightening specification 2 Nm

5 Warning Triangle Bracket

Emergency Release Handle, Removing





- Unclip cover - 1 -.

- Remove the bolt - 3 -.

- Remove handle - 2 -.
