Electrical and Electronic Components and Component Locations Overview
1 Right Front Body Acceleration Sensor (G342)
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Front Body Acceleration Sensors ] Front Body Acceleration Sensors.
• Can be checked in "Guided Fault Finding" using (VAS 5051 A).
2 Front Right Suspension Strut (Air Suspension)
• With Right Front Dampening Adjustment Valve (N337).
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Air Suspension Strut with Mounting Bracket ] Air Suspension Strut with Mounting Bracket.
• Filling, refer to => [ System, Venting or Filling ] System, Venting or Filling.
3 Level Control System Control Module (J197)
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Level Control System Control Module ] Level Control System Control Module.
4 Left Front Body Acceleration Sensor (G341)
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Front Body Acceleration Sensors ] Front Body Acceleration Sensors.
• Can be checked in "Guided Fault Finding" using (VAS 5051 A).
5 Rear Right Air Spring
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Air Spring ] Air Spring.
6 Rear Right Shock Absorber
• With Right Rear Dampening Adjustment Valve (N339).
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Shock Absorber, Air Suspension ] Shock Absorber, Air Suspension.
7 Pressure Reservoir
• If pressure reservoir is removed, pressure reservoir system vent must first be performed with (VAS 5051 A) via "Guided Fault Finding".
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Pressure Reservoir ] Service and Repair.
8 Rear Body Acceleration Sensor (G343)
• Removing and Installing, refer to => [ Rear Body Acceleration Sensor ] Rear Body Acceleration Sensor.
• Can be checked in "Guided Fault Finding" using (VAS 5051 A).
• The sensor is located behind the left wheel housing trim near the upper shock absorber threaded connection.
9 Rear Left Shock Absorber
• With Left Rear Dampening Adjustment Valve (N338).
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Air Spring ] Air Spring.
10 Rear Left Air Spring
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Air Spring ] Air Spring.
11 Left Rear Level Control System Sensor (G76)
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Rear Vehicle Level Sensor ] Rear Vehicle Level Sensor.
• After loosening, adapt control position. Refer to => [ Self-Leveling Suspension Control Position, Programming ] Self-Leveling Suspension Control Position, Programming.
• Can be checked in "Guided Fault Finding" using (VAS 5051 A).
• If the sensor was adapted on vehicles with lane assist, then the camera and the directional stabilization assistance control module (J759) must be calibrated. Refer to => [ Lane Assist Calibration Procedure ] Lane Assist Calibration Procedure.
12 Right Rear Level Control System Sensor (G77)
• Removing and Installing, refer to => [ Rear Vehicle Level Sensor ] Rear Vehicle Level Sensor
• after loosening, adapt control position => [ Self-Leveling Suspension Control Position, Programming ] Self-Leveling Suspension Control Position, Programming
• Can be checked in "Guided Fault Finding" using (VAS 5051 A).
• If the sensor was adapted on vehicles with lane assist, then the camera and the directional stabilization assistance control module (J759) must be calibrated. Refer to => [ Lane Assist Calibration Procedure ] Lane Assist Calibration Procedure.
13 Front Left Suspension Strut (Air Suspension)
• With Left Front Dampening Adjustment Valve (N336).
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Air Suspension Strut with Mounting Bracket ] Air Suspension Strut with Mounting Bracket.
14 Left Front Level Control System Sensor (G78)
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Front Level Control System Sensor ] Front Level Control System Sensor.
• After loosening, adapt control position, refer to => [ Self-Leveling Suspension Control Position, Programming ] Self-Leveling Suspension Control Position, Programming.
• Can be checked in "Guided Fault Finding" using (VAS 5051 A).
• If the sensor was adapted on vehicles with lane assist, then the camera and the directional stabilization assistance control module (J759) must be calibrated. Refer to => [ Lane Assist Calibration Procedure ] Lane Assist Calibration Procedure.
15 Right Front Level Control Sensor (G289)
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Front Level Control System Sensor ] Front Level Control System Sensor.
• After loosening, adapt control position. Refer to => [ Self-Leveling Suspension Control Position, Programming ] Self-Leveling Suspension Control Position, Programming.
• Can be checked in "Guided Fault Finding" using (VAS 5051 A).
• If the sensor was adapted on vehicles with lane assist, then the camera and the directional stabilization assistance control module (J759) must be calibrated. Refer to => [ Lane Assist Calibration Procedure ] Lane Assist Calibration Procedure.
16 Air Supply Unit with Solenoid Valve Block
• Air supply unit, removing and installing, refer to => [ Air Supply Unit ] Air Supply Unit.
• Solenoid valve block, removing and installing, refer to => [ Solenoid Valve Block ] Service and Repair.
• If the air supply unit is being replaced, then the level control system compressor relay (J403) must also be replaced.
