Telematics Emergency Battery

- Move driver's seat to rearmost position.

CAUTION!
• Activate Telematics Service Mode => [ Telematics Service Mode, Activating and Deactivating ] Description and Operation

CAUTION!
• Switch off all electrical components.

• Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

- Fold back carpeting ahead of driver's seat.

- Unclip electronics box cover and open box - arrows -.





The Telephone/Telematic Control Module and auxiliary battery are clipped into place.

- Separate electrical connection - 1 -.





- Lift control module - 2 - from electronics box.

- Unclip and remove auxiliary battery - 3 - from retainer.

Installing

- Install in reverse order.

• Ensure correct seating of connectors.

- Deactivate Telematics Service Mode => [ Telematics Service Mode, Activating and Deactivating ] Description and Operation.

If Emergency Battery was replaced, proceed as follows:

- Return to "Functions - Telematic"

- Select "J526 - Telephone/Telematic Ctrl. Module, service mode disco. battery" or "A16 - Emergency Battery, switching" where applicable.

- If necessary, press ">" to advance

- Select "New emergency battery has been installed (reset counter) "

- Follow the tester's prompts.
