Exhaust System, Installing

Align exhaust system when cold.

- Loosen the threaded fasteners of all clamping sleeves on the exhaust system.

- Press rear muffler toward front - arrow - until the following pre-loads on the retaining loops are achieved:





Front retaining loop: - a - = 11 mm.

Rear retaining loop: - a - = 14 mm.

- Align rear muffler horizontally.

- Position clamping sleeves centrally on separation points.





- Align the front clamping sleeves so that the bolt ends do not project over the lower edge of the clamping sleeves.

- Align the rear clamping sleeves so that the bolt ends do not project over the lower edge of the clamping sleeves.





- Tighten the clamping sleeve threaded connections evenly to 23 Nm.

- Align the tail pipes.

- Check distance of left and right tail pipes to bumper cover:

Dimension - x - left = dimension - x - right.





If necessary, correct dimension x as follows:

- Loosen threaded connections - arrow - of brace between exhaust pipes.





- Adjust the distance between the rear mufflers.

- Tighten the threaded fastener to 23 Nm.
