Fresh Air Blower and Evaporator Housing

The A/C unit may only be removed when the refrigerant circuit has been discharged. Bring the vehicle to a workshop that has the necessary tools and where the work can be performed by qualified personnel.

Heating and A/C unit, removing and installing. Refer to => [ A/C Unit ] A/C Unit

4 Air Flow Door Motor (V71)

With Right Center Vent Motor Position Sensor (G113)

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Air Intake Shroud with Air Flow Door ]

5 Connecting element

Mark before removing risk of interchange

Heed assignment code number "063")

6 Self-tapping screw

7 Air intake shroud

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Air Intake Shroud with Air Flow Door ]

Disassembling and assembling => [ Disassembling and assembling air intake shroud ]

Seal the connections, refer to => [ Air Intake Shroud with Air Flow Door ] air intake shroud, removing and installing

8 Air flow doors

Removing from intake housing.=> [ Disassembling and assembling air intake shroud ]

15 Fresh Air Intake Duct Temperature Sensor (G89)

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Fresh Air Intake Duct ] Service and Repair

16 Bracket for fresh-air blower

Seal connection between A/C unit and cover using black Silicone Adhesive Sealant (D 176 001 A3). Refer to => [ Recirculation Door Motor ] .

A modified actuator cover with four bolting points instead of two. Refer to => [ Recirculation Door Motor ] , a modified cover with recirculation flap and a wiring harness with a modified grommet to the recirculation flap actuator were introduced from December 03 as a running change.

19 Control Motor Door Motor (V113)

With Right Center Vent Motor Position Sensor (G143)

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Recirculation Door Motor ]

20 Connecting element

Mark before removing risk of interchange

Heed assignment code number "064"

21 Cover

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Cover with Recirculated Air Door ] Removal and Replacement

Disassembling and assembling, refer to=> [ Disassembling and assembling cover ]

Seal the connections, refer to => [ Cover with Recirculated Air Door ] Removal and Replacement and => [ Air Intake Shroud with Air Flow Door ]

Removing recirculated-air doors from cover => [ Disassembling and assembling cover ]

Seal the connections between the housing lower section and cover. Refer to => [ Evaporator ] Removal and Replacement

26 Fresh Air Blower (V2)

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Fresh Air Blower ] Service and Repair

CAUTION!
Do not grasp fans of Fresh Air Blower (V2), force against fans or shifting balancing weights fastened to fans may cause imbalance and then problems during operation.

29 Grommet

For sealing refrigerant line openings to evaporator in A/C unit

With refrigerant lines, disconnecting and reconnecting. Refer to => [ Evaporator ] Removal and Replacement.

With seal to A/C unit housing
