Front Suspension



Subframe, Stabilizer Bar, Transverse Link and Bracket Assembly Overview





1 - Hex nut, 65 Nm

^ Always replace after removal

2 - Coupling rod

^ Linking stabilizer to suspension strut

3 - Bracket

4 - Mounting bracket

^ With bonded rubber bushing

5 - Hex bolt 50 Nm plus an additional 90 degree turn

^ Always replace after removal

6 - Hex bolt 70 Nm plus an additional 90 degree turn

^ Always replace after removal

7 - Hex bolt 70 Nm plus an additional 90 degree turn

^ Always replace after removal

8 - Left front level control system sensor -G78-

9 - Hex bolt 9 Nm

10 - Transverse Link

^ Different versions of the transverse link are offered (cast steel - sheet steel)
^ If damaged, also replace lower ball joint
^ Transverse Link with Mounting Bracket, Manual Transmission
^ Transverse Link with Mounting Bracket, DSG or Automatic
^ Replace Transverse link bonded rubber bushing.

11 - Hex nut, 60 Nm

^ Always replace after removal

12 - Ball joint

^ Checking
^ Replace if the transverse is damaged

13 - Hex nut, 60 Nm

^ Always replace after removal

14 - Hex nut, 9 Nm

15 - Hex bolt 70 Nm plus an additional 90 degree turn

^ Always replace after removal
^ Different versions depending on market.

16 - Steering gear hex bolt 50 Nm plus an additional 90 degree turn

^ Always replace after removal

17 - Hex bolt on stabilizer bar 20 Nm plus an additional 90 degree turn

^ Always replace after removal

18 - Hex bolt 70 Nm plus an additional 90 degree turn

^ Always replace after removal

19 - Hex bolt 100 Nm plus an additional 90 degree turn

^ Only tighten if pendulum support is bolted to transmission
^ Always replace after removal

20 - Lower bonded rubber bushing for pendulum support

21 - Hex bolt 40 Nm plus an additional 90 degree turn

^ Always replace after removal

22 - Hex bolt 40 Nm plus an additional 90 degree turn

^ Always replace after removal

23 - Bracket on pendulum support

^ No replacement part

24 - Pendulum support

^ First, bolt to transmission, then bolt to subframe
^ Various versions

25 - Torx bolt 6 Nm

26 - Shield

27 - Subframe

^ Various versions

28 - Upper bonded rubber bushing for pendulum support

29 - Hex bolt 70 Nm plus an additional 180 degree turn

^ Always replace after removal
^ Tighten only in curb weight position

30 - Hex nut, 65 Nm

^ Always replace after removal

31 - Stabilizer bar

^ Various versions
