Upper A-pillar Trim

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Removing


Observe safety precautions for work on airbags.

- Remove A-pillar trim - 3 - from A-pillar by hand in area of rubber seal until (80-200) can be inserted at the upper clip - 2 -.





- Using (80-200), press clips - 1 - and - 2 - one after another out of A-pillar as far as catch.

- Remove A-pillar trim - 1 - upward - arrow -.

• In this way, the clips are completely loosened from their guide in the A-pillar.

- Disconnect speaker electrical connector.





Installation





Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

- Slide A-pillar trim into guide on instrument panel.

- When positioning A-pillar trim, ensure guide pins - 2 - under upper clip - 1 - can be inserted in groove on A-pillar.

• If the guide pins cannot be inserted in the groove, the A-pillar trim cannot be pressed on completely.

• When installing trim, ensure seal is seated correctly.
