Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Accelerator Pedal Module With Throttle Position Sensors

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required







- Release tool T10238

Removing







- Remove cover for steering column - arrows -.







- Disconnect electrical harness connector - 2 -, by pressing release button to stop - arrow -.
- Where necessary, pull the wiring router - 1 - off from the accelerator pedal module.

Audi A3 Cabriolet:







- Disconnect electrical connector - 2 - on the accelerator pedal module by pulling the release - 1 - up as far as the stop - arrow -.

All Vehicles
- Pry off cover using a screwdriver.
- Remove bolt.







- Push release tool T10238 into the intended openings - arrow - up to the stop, as shown, and remove the accelerator pedal module.

Installing
- Tightening specifications.

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:







- Connect wiring router - 1 - and electrical connector - 2 - to the accelerator pedal module - 5 -.
- The connector must engage audibly.
- Push accelerator pedal module onto the securing studs - 6 -.
- Insert centering pin - 7 - into hole on vehicle floor.
- Secure accelerator pedal module with the bolt - 3 - and install the cap - 4 -.
