Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 57 number 08-16 dated November 26, 2008 for reasons listed below.
Affected Vehicles
Condition
Noise from the lower door hinge.
Technical Background
The collar of the flange bolt may overlap with the door hinge, which can cause a reduction in torque of the flange bolt.
Production Solution
Use of a different flange bolt (WHT 003 280).
Service
Flange bolt WHT 001 233 A on lower door hinge (Figure 1) must be replaced with flange bolt WHT 003 280, which has a shorter collar.
Tightening torque 32 Nm.
