CAUTION!
• Disconnect battery ground wire before working on electrical system.
• On vehicles with Telematics, activate Telephone/Telematics Control Module (J526) service mode before disconnecting battery. Refer to => [ Telematics Service Mode, Activating/Deactivating ] Testing and Inspection.
If the battery is reconnected, follow the procedure for disconnecting and connecting the battery. Deactivate Telephone/Telematics Control Module ( J526) service mode. Refer to => [ Telematics Service Mode, Activating/Deactivating ] Testing and Inspection.
• Request new SIM card by calling Audi Technical Assistance:
The Telematics system links the traffic information, service call and emergency call functions to each other.
Telephone/Telematics Control Module (J526) always contains a cell phone as well.
An emergency or assistance call can be made to the Telematics Service Center if necessary. With Telematics II, current traffic information can also be called up.
The Telephone/Telematics Control Module (J526) determines the exact vehicle position from GPS data, which is transmitted to the Telematics Service Center.
If Airbag Control Module (J234) triggers a crash signal, an emergency call is made automatically.
Fault finding is performed. Refer to Guided Fault Finding vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051.
Repairs on antenna wires.
Repair to CAN bus lines.
