Rear Lid Trim, Removing and Installing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required







- Torque wrench V.A.G 1783







1 - Rear lid trim

Removal:
- Remove lock cover.
- Remove the flocked screw - 3 - in handle.
- Remove warning triangle.
- Remove bolts - 4 - (Qty. 2).
- Remove bracket for warning triangle - 5 -.

Vehicles with emergency release:
- Remove emergency release handle.

All:
- Loosen ten clips - 2 - on rear lid trim and unclip them from below.

Installing:
- Installation is reverse of removal.

2 - Clips (Qty. 10)
3 - Bolt (Qty. 1) in handle
- Tightening torque 2 Nm

4 - Screws, (2x)
- Tightening torque 2 Nm

5 - Warning triangle bracket







Emergency release handle, removing

- Unclip cover - 1 -.
- Remove bolt - 3 -.
- Remove handle - 2 -.
