CAUTION!
Disconnect battery ground wire before working on electrical system.

On vehicles with Telematics, activate Telephone/Telematics Control Module (J526) service mode before disconnecting Battery (A) => [ Telematics Service Mode, Activating/Deactivating ] Procedures.

If the Battery (A) is reconnected, follow the procedure for disconnecting and connecting the Battery (A) Deactivate Telephone/Telematics Control Module (J526) service mode => [ Telematics Service Mode, Activating/Deactivating ] Procedures.

Description

The navigation system RNS-E is an advancement. The function selection switch is integrated in the unit (MMI operation). A DVD is used as the navigation CD.

Screen folds away. DVD drive and two card readers are located behind.

In addition to the navigation system, the RNS-E contains a radio, two MP3 card readers and connections for Satellite Radio ( R146), CD Changer (R41) and cellular telephone. The DVD drive can play music CDs.

Diagnosis is performed using "Guided Fault-Finding".
