Power Front Memory Seats
• From 06.2006, the usual wiring harness routing to connector station under front seat. Refer to => [ Connectors, Disconnecting ] Front Seats has been replaced with modular wiring routing => [ Modular Wiring Routing Assembly Overview, from June 2006 ] Front Seats.
• The modular wiring routing has not been implemented for all countries.
• Check version of front seat and of vehicle and perform repairs accordingly.
• Note the two possible versions of the modular wiring routing, Modular Light or Modular. Refer to => [ Modular Wiring Routing Versions ] Front Seats.
Headrest Micro switch, Adjusting
• Vehicles through 05.2002, VIN: 8H 3K 002 450: to prevent the head restraints or backrest adjustment from malfunctioning, attach a cable tie - 1 -.

• Check the adjustment and function
- Remove backrest cover pane, refer to => [ Backrest Cover ] Power Front Memory Seats.
- Use a screwdriver to pry out circlip - 3 -.
- Move the micro switch - 4 - far enough so that when the release lever is lifted 1/3, the head restraint goes down and is switched off.
- Check the head restraint function on the adjusting switch:
- When the release lever is lifted 1/3, the head restraint is not controlled.
- When the release lever is in its original position, the head restraint is controlled.
- Correct the position of the micro switch if necessary - 4 - check the function again.
