Clutch General Information

CAUTION!
• Observe procedures for disconnecting battery.

• On vehicles equipped with telematics the telematics control unit must be switched to service mode before the battery terminals are disconnected.

• Lubricate the various bearing and contact surfaces with Polycarbamide Grease (G 052 142 A2).

• Before working on pedal assembly, remove driver's side storage compartment.

• Make sure that no brake fluid escapes into the footwell or into the plenum chamber or onto the transmission below. If this happens, these areas must be cleaned thoroughly.

• When working in floor area, cover the carpet with a cloth to protect against any leaking brake fluid.
