MMI Satellite Radio (R146), through 10.2008

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Protective cap for cable connector (VAS 6223/9)

The MMI satellite radio is located behind the luggage compartment left side trim in the Infotainment rack.

- Switch off all electrical consumers.

- Remove the key.

If control module is replaced, select "Replacement" function for appropriate control module in "Guided Fault-Finding" routine of the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

Removing

- Open left luggage compartment storage bin.

The satellite radio - 2 - is only clipped in the bracket - 1 -.






- Push the retainer - arrow - to the rear and pull the satellite radio - 2 - out of the bracket - 1 -.

- Release and disconnect all connectors from the satellite radio - 2 -.

- Connect the (VAS 6223/9) - 1 - to the connector for the MOST-Bus - 2 -.






- Remove the satellite radio.

Installing

- Perform the installation in reverse order.
