Side Trim, Sill Side

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095)

• Fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136)

Removing

- Remove seat => [ Seat ].

- Mount the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136) on the engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095).

- Attach the front seat to the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136).

- Remove the outer side trim => [ Side Trim ].

- Remove the bolt - 2 -.





- Remove the seat height adjustment handle - 1 - in the - direction of the arrow -.

- Remove the backrest adjustment hand wheel => [ Backrest Adjustment Hand Wheel ].

- Remove the left backrest cover => [ Backrest Cover, Removing and Installing ].

- Remove the bolt - 1 -.





- Separate the cable ties.

- Press the retaining tab and pull the electrical connectors out of the brackets.

- Mark electrical connectors - 2 - and - 3 - and remove them.

- Press the locking pin inward and remove the expanding clip - 3 -.





- Release the retaining tab - 1 - - arrow A - and remove the sill side trim - 2 - upward and toward the front - B arrows -,

- Disconnect the lumbar support electrical connector.

Installing





Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

• Tightening specifications => [ Side Trim Assembly Overview ] Bucket Seats Overview, => [ Seat Height Adjustment Unit Assembly Overview ] Bucket Seats Overview.

- Make sure the side trim on the sill side - 1 - engages correctly in the seat pan and on the backrest - arrows -.
