Fixed Rear Seat Backrest

CAUTION!

Removing

- Remove the rear bench seat. Refer to => [ Bench Seat ] Bench Seat.

- Remove headrests. Refer to => [ Headrests with Locking Mechanism ] Headrests With Locking Mechanism or => [ Headrests without Locking Mechanism ] Headrests Without Locking Mechanism.

- For vehicles with ski sack, remove ski sack frame. Refer to => [ Ski Bag Frame, Folding Backrest ] Ski Bag Frame, Folding Backrest.

- Remove headrest guides. Refer to => [ Outer Headrest Guides without Locking Mechanism ] Outer Headrest Guides without Locking Mechanism or => [ Inner Headrest Guides without Locking Mechanism ] Inner Headrest Guides without Locking Mechanism.

- On vehicles with side airbag, disconnect electrical harness connector. Refer to => [ Disconnecting side airbag electrical connector ]

- On vehicles with heated backrest, disconnect electrical harness connectors.

- Remove rear backrest - 2 - in - direction of arrow A - out of mountings - 4 -.

- Remove rear backrest in - direction of arrow B - from chassis cut-out.

- Remove backrest.

Installation

Installation is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

CAUTION!
Mountings must be replaced after each removal of rear backrest. Refer to => [ Replacing mountings ].

Disconnecting side airbag electrical connector





- Disconnect electrical connector.

- Push connector lock - 2 - to stop - arrow -; this disconnects electrical connection - 1 - and - 3 - and it can be removed.

Replacing mountings





- Remove used mounting from chassis cut-out.

- Insert a new mounting grommet - 1 - in the body opening until - 2 - until it engages.
