Air Spring Boot

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Hose clamp pliers (V.A.G 1275)

Removing

- Remove air spring. Refer to => [ Air Spring ] Air Spring.

- Remove ring - 1 - from boot - 2 -.






- Remove lower and upper clamps from boot - 2 -.

- Carefully pull off boot.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Carefully install and align boot.

- Attach boot - 4 - at piston - 2 - so that cutout - arrows - is next to connection of air tube.






- Install clamp - 3 - with ear at center of groove - 1 - and tension using (V.A.G 1275).

- Attach clamp - 2 -.






- Align clamp - 2 - with ear so that it aligns with connection of air tube - 1 - and pins - 3 - and - 4 -.

- Tension clamp - 2 - using (V.A.G 1275).
