Roof Panel Trim

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Trim removal wedge (3409)





Removing





- Carefully remove luggage compartment light - 1 - from vehicle headliner - arrow - with Trim Removal Wedge (3409).

- Disconnect electrical connector.

- Remove the bolt - 2 -.





- Carefully pull roof panel trim - 1 - back from roof frame - arrows -.

Installing

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

• Roof panel trim threaded holes must be cleaned of locking compound residue after removal. Otherwise, new screw could lock up when installed and shear off when removed again.

• They can be cleaned with a thread cutter.

• Replace self-locking screws.

• Replace damaged spring clamps.

- Place roof panel trim so that clip contacts D-pillar trim and spring clamp contacts body cut-out.

- Slide on roof panel trim until spring clamp engages with a click.

Tightening Specifications





* Replace screw.
