Headlamp Beam Adjustment Motors

• Adjust the headlamps after performing any work that could have affected their adjustment.

Removing

- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

- Turn light switch into "0" position.

Right Headlamp - Vehicles with 6-cyl. Gasoline Engine

- Remove air filter housing => [ Air Filter Housing, Removing
- Vehicles with 6-Cylinder Gasoline Engine ] Preparing to Work on Headlamps.

Right Headlamp - Vehicles with 4.2L MPI Engine

- Remove air filter housing => [ Air Filter Housing, Removing
- Vehicles with 4.2L MPI Engine ] Preparing to Work on Headlamps.

Right Headlamp - Vehicles with 4.2L FSI Engine

- Remove air filter housing => [ Air Filter Housing, Removing
- Vehicles with 4.2L FSI Engine ] Preparing to Work on Headlamps.

All:

- Release securing guides - arrows - and remove headlamp housing cover.





- Turn adjustment motor - 1 - clockwise at left headlamp - arrow - and counter-clockwise at right headlamp.





- By pivoting adjusting motor to the side, push ball head of adjustment axle out of ball head mount - 2 -.

- Remove headlamp beam adjustment motor out of headlamp housing.

- Disconnect electrical connector - 3 -.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- First, insert ball head of adjustment axle from the side into ball head mount of reflector, to do so pull reflector toward rear.

• Always adjust headlamps after removing, installing or replacing adjustment motors.

- Close the housing lid.
