Access/Start Authorization Switch






Access/Start Authorization Switch

If access/start authorization switch (E415) is replaced, it is not necessary to adapt immobilizer.

Lock in access/start authorization switch is not mechanically coded.

Therefore, when access/start authorization switch is replaced, key must not be replaced. Existing keys continue to work.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Wrench (T10152)

Removing





- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.


Follow safety precautions when working on knee airbag.

- Remove driver's storage compartment.

- Use small screwdriver to pry off trim ring at access/start authorization switch (E415) - arrow -.

- Remove nut at access/start authorization switch using (T10152).





- Take switch to rear out of driver side storage compartment.

Installing





Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Observe installation position of access/start authorization switch with respect to driver side storage compartment.

Lug - 1 - facing upwards

- Hand-tighten nut using (T10152).

- Observe installation position of trim ring at access/start authorization switch.

Lugs - 3 - must engage in recesses - 2 - at switch.

- Install driver's storage compartment.
