Fuel-driven Supplementary Heater, Checking

NOTE:
- Vehicles with diesel engine are currently equipped with a fuel-driven supplementary heater (in event of request from Climatronic Control Module J255, heat energy is added to coolant used for engine cooling) .
- On vehicles with diesel engine and "auxiliary heater" optional equipment, function is assumed by auxiliary heater, which operates as fuel-driven supplementary heater .
- Checking actuation of supplementary heater operation is described in Guided Fault-Finding for air conditioner "Guided Fault-Finding" function of Diagnostic Operation System VAS 5051.
- Measured value block of Climatronic Control Module J255 shows that supplementary heater is being actuated or indicates why there is no actuation in spite of corresponding request (display group "029") "Guided Fault-Finding" function of Diagnostic Operation System VAS 5051.
- Vehicles with gasoline engine are currently not equipped with a supplementary heater/auxiliary heater.
