Cellular Telephone Operating Electronics Control Module
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Fiber optic plier repair set (VAS 6223)
• Protective cap for cable connector (VAS 6223/9)
• If control module is replaced, select "Replacement" function for appropriate control module in "Guided Fault-Finding" routine. Use the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051) to do so.
- Switch off all electrical consumers.
- Remove the key.
Removing
- Remove the left front seat.
- Fold back the floor mat.
- Disengage cover of electronics box and open the box - arrows -.
The cellular telephone operating electronics control module (J412) is clipped to the electronics box.
- Pry the cellular telephone operating electronics control module - 1 - out of electronics box - 2 - in - direction of arrow -.
- Disconnect the Bluetooth antenna (R152) from the cellular telephone operating electronics control module - 1 -, if equipped.
- Disconnect the connectors from the cellular telephone operating electronics control module - 1 -.
- Attach the (VAS 6223/9) - 1 - onto the MOST-Bus connector - 2 -.
Installing
- Install in reverse order.
