Fuel Pressure Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair






Fuel Pressure Sensor

Removing

- Remove the intake manifold. Refer to => [ Upper Intake Manifold ] Intake Manifold and Injectors, with Plastic Manifold.

- Open the high pressure fuel line union nut at the fuel rail.

- Remove the fuel pressure sensor - 1 - bolt.





The installed location on MY 2009 vehicles may differ.

- Remove the fuel pressure sensor with the high pressure line.

Do not change the angles of the high pressure lines.

Installing

- Tighten the fuel pressure switch.

The high pressure line connectors - arrows - must not be damaged.

Do not bend the high pressure line to a different angle.

- Tighten the high pressure fuel line union nut by hand.

- Make sure the high pressure fuel line is free of tension.

Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Component Location Overview ] Component Locations Overview.

- Tighten the 17 mm union nut on the high pressure line with the (VAG 1331) and the (VAG 1331/6).





Further installation is performed in reverse order.

- Install the upper intake manifold. Refer to => [ Upper Intake Manifold ] Intake Manifold and Injectors, with Plastic Manifold.
