Bumper Cover

- Remove bolts from underside of cover - arrows -.





- Remove hex bolts - arrows - on wheel housing liners - 1 -.





- On the inside of side panel is located one nut - 1 - on each side which must be unscrewed.





- Release mounting strips in left and right side panels (refer to => [ Rear Bumper Cover Mounting strip ] Rear Bumper Cover Mounting Strip ) and pull off cover from vehicle slightly toward rear.

- The right mounting strip is released by rotating clockwise, left side by rotating counterclockwise.

- Disconnect all harness connectors to the electrical components and remove cover.

CAUTION!
When installing, a tightening specification of 1 Nm must be observed.

Otherwise, worm gear of mounting strip will be damaged and it will be significantly more difficult to remove the bumper.

Grommets for Cover





- Before installing cover, check that both round grommets - 1 - and oblong grommets - 2 - are pressed into side panel as shown.
