Telephone Transceiver (R36)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Protective Cap For Cable Connector (VAS 6223/9)

The telephone transceiver is located in the electronics box under the right front seat.

- Switch off all electrical consumers.

- Remove the key.

- If control module is replaced, select "Replacement" function for appropriate control module in "Guided Fault-Finding" routine.

Use the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051) to do so.

Removing

- Remove right front seat.

- Fold back the floor covering - 2 - around the electronics box - 1 -.





- Disengage cover of E-box and open box.

The telephone transceiver - 1 - is only wedged in the E-box.





- Disconnect the connector - 2 - from the telephone transceiver - 1 -.

- Pry telephone transceiver - 1 - out of E-box.

- Remove the Bluetooth Antenna (R152) - 4 - from the telephone transceiver - 1 -.

- Disconnect the MOST bus connector - 3 - from the telephone transceiver- 1 -.

- Attach the (VAS 6223/9) - 1 - onto the MOST-Bus connector - 2 -.





Installing

- Install in reverse order of removal.
