Rear A/C Unit

• Rear heating & A/C unit is optional equipment and not installed on all vehicles.

• Rear heating & A/C unit, removing and installing, refer to => [ Rear Heating & A/C Unit ] Rear Heating & A/C Unit.

• Attachments, removing from heating & A/C unit and re-installing, refer to => [ Attachments ] Attachments.






1 Screw

2 Heater Core Cover

3 Rear Heater Core

• Remove and install with the A/C unit installed, refer to => [ Heater Core ] Heater Core.

• Bonded foam seal, check before installing, refer to => [ Heater Core ] Heater Core.

• Pre-bleed rear cooling circuit when installing, refer to => [ Heater Core ] Heater Core and bleed after installing, refer to => [ Coolant System, Bleeding ] Coolant System, Bleeding.

4 Foam Seal

• To rear air channel.

5 Foam Seal

• To rear air channel.

6 Right Rear Air Door

• Do not remove.

7 Left Rear Air Door

• Do not remove

8 Right Rear Temperature Door

• Do not remove.

9 Left Rear Temperature Door

• Do not remove.

10 Foam Block

• For noise reduction.

11 Air Duct And Distribution Housing

• Do not disassemble further.

12 Evaporator

• Removing and installing with rear heating & A/C unit installed, refer to => [ Evaporator ] Evaporator.

• Check bonded foam seal, it must not be damaged and bonded on.

13 Foam Seal

• Bonded on evaporator.

• Check, it must not be damaged and must be bonded all around.

14 Foam Seal

• Bonded to evaporator refrigerant pipes.

15 Bracket For Expansion Valve

16 O-ring

• Replace per Electronic Parts Catalog.

• Lubricate lightly with refrigerant oil before installing, refer to => [ Refrigerant Circuit O-Rings ] Refrigerant Circuit O-Rings.

17 O-ring

• Replace per Electronic Parts Catalog.

• Lubricate lightly with refrigerant oil before installing, refer to => [ Refrigerant Circuit O-Rings ] Refrigerant Circuit O-Rings.

18 Rear Expansion Valve

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Rear Expansion Valve ] Rear Expansion Valve.

• Ensure the correct allocation using Electronic Parts Catalog.

• Checking function, refer to=> [ Test Requirements ] Test Requirements.

19 Screw

• Tightening specification 10 Nm

20 Evaporator Housing

• Removing and installing with rear heating & A/C unit installed, refer to => [ Evaporator ] Evaporator.
