AFFECTED VEHICLES

CONDITION

^ During a Bluetooth call, the other party hears static or humming.

^ Only vehicles with microphone part number 4L1 035 711 C or E may be affected if the part was produced in CW 47/07 or earlier.

TECHNICAL BACKGROUND

Interference in the microphone cable causes noise during the Bluetooth session.

PRODUCTION SOLUTION

Optimized microphone and cables.

SERVICE

Microphone 4L1 has been changed to a 6-pin plug, but the customer's vehicle may be equipped with a 4-pin plug.

^ If the customer's vehicle has a 4-pin plug:

a. Remove the old microphones on the 4-pin plug.

b. Remove the new microphones on the 6-pin plug.

c. Attach the new microphones to the old 4-pin plug.

^ If the customer's vehicle has a 6-pin plug, simply replace the microphones.
