Door Trim

Removal





- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

- Remove the trim panel. Refer to => [ Trim Molding ]. Trim Molding

Driver Side Door Trim:

- Remove the bolt - 1 -.

Passenger Side Door Trim:





- Remove the pull handle cover => [ Pull Handle Cover ]. Pull Handle Cover

- Remove the bolts - 1 through 3 -.

Procedure for Both Sides:





- Carefully unclip the door trim from the door - arrows - by hand, beginning at the bottom edge.

• Securing clip positions - arrows -.





- Disengage the top of the door trim from the door in the window recess area by pulling the door trim up.

- Disengage the support - 3 - on the bracket - 2 -.





- Remove the inside door release cable from the bracket in the - direction of the arrow -.

- Disengage the ends of the cable - 1 - from the inside door release mechanism.

- Disconnect the electrical connector - 2 - on the door control module - 1 -.





- To disconnect electrical connector, press catch - 1 -, rotate retaining bracket in - direction of arrow - and remove connector.





- Remove the door trim.

Installation





Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

- Fold sealing piece - 1 - as shown under - 2 - to prevent rattling noises and adhere it to hook end - 3 - of the release cable for door unlocking.

- Engage cable end - 1 - with the sealing piece from above in the inside door release mechanism lever.





• The open side of the eye on the end of the cable must face down.

- Pull the inside door release cable in the - direction of the arrow - and guide it into the bracket - 2 -.

• The support - 3 - must engage audibly in the bracket.







CAUTION!
• For proper crash sensor (pressure sensor) function, ensure door does not leak.

• The door trim panel clips - arrows - seal the system. Replace the clips, if necessary.

• Follow the safety precautions when working with side airbag crash sensors (pressure sensors). Refer to => [ Front Side Airbag Crash Sensors Safety Precautions ] Front Side Airbag Crash Sensors Safety Precautions.
