Pay attention to the safety precautions when removing or installing an interior rearview mirror, refer to => [ Interior Rearview Mirror Safety Precautions ] Service Precautions and to the General Information, refer to => [ Interior Rearview Mirror ] Description and Operation.

• The removal and installation procedure describes an automatic day/night interior rearview mirror (Y7). The procedure is identical with other versions.

Removal





- Pry the cover - 1 - out on top of the mirror base - arrows -.

- Remove the electrical connector from its retainer.





- Disconnect electrical harness connector - 2 -.

- Turn the interior rearview mirror counterclockwise - arrow - on the mirror base - 1 - as far as the stop.

- Remove the interior rearview mirror from the retaining plate.

Installation

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

- Position the interior rearview mirror turned 30° from its installation position.

- Then turn the interior rearview mirror clockwise as far as the stop.
