Clutch Position Sensor: Service and Repair






Clutch Position Sensor, R Tronic

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Puller (T10055)

Removing

Transmission removed.

- Free up the electrical connector with wire - arrow - on the bracket - 1 -.





- Remove bolts - arrows -.





- Remove the Clutch Position Sensor (G476) with bracket - 1 - from the centering pins using the Puller (T10055).

- Remove the bolts - arrows - and the Clutch Position Sensor (G476) - 1 - from the bracket - 2 -.





Installing

Tightening specifications. Refer to => [ R Tronic Clutch Release Mechanism Assembly Overview ] .

Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

- Secure the Clutch Position Sensor (G476) - 1 - on the bracket - 2 - with both bolts - arrows -.

- Guide the Clutch Position Sensor (G476) wire through the opening on the transmission from below.

- Carefully press the Clutch Position Sensor (G476) with the bracket onto the centering pins on the transmission.

The two centering pins must be inside the transmission. Install them into the holes inside the transmission if necessary.

- Tighten the bracket by hand first and then to the tightening specification on the transmission.

- Install the transmission.
