Note:
^ First, second and reverse gears, removing and installing.
^ Input shaft, drive pinion, hollow shaft and selector rods, removing and installing.
^ Do not interchange securing bushings for selector shaft and selector rods. Identify before removing.

^ Determine thickness.
2 - Washer
^ Note thickness
^ Determine thickness.
3 - Tapered roller bearing inner race
^ Can be installed and removed by hand
4 - Tapered roller bearing outer race
^ Can be installed and removed by hand
5 - Spacer ring
6 - Twelve-point nut, 75 Nm
7 - O-ring
^ Always replace
^ Coat with transmission fluid
^ Insert in surrounding groove in transmission cover
8 - Bolt, 27 Nm
^ Qty. 2
^ Self-locking
^ Replace
9 - Bolt, 24 Nm

^ Coat with transmission fluid
^ Insert in selector shaft cover surrounding groove
23 - Bolt -24 Nm

^ With Back-Up Light Switch F4
^ Back-Up Light Switch F4, removing and installing
^ Back-Up Light Switch F4 tightening torque - 20 Nm
25 - Dowel pin
^ For selector shaft retainer
^ Insert in transmission housing bore
Note:
^ There are dowel pins with and without pins.
^ Installation location of dowel pin with pins: Insert pin side in transmission housing.
26 - Securing bushing
^ For 5th/6th gear selector rod
27 - Securing bushing
^ For 3rd/4th gear selector rod
28 - Securing bushing
^ For 1st/2nd gear selector rod
29 - Securing bushing
^ For reverse gear selector rod
30 - Screw, 24 Nm
Selector shaft securing bushings changed
A - Previous selector shaft securing bushings without edged ball sleeve collar - arrow 1 -. This securing bushing must always be replaced, except for when version - B - is already installed.
B - New securing bushing for selector shaft with edged ball sleeve collar - arrow 2 -, can be reinstalled.
Note:
^ On transmission with version - A - selector shaft securing bushings installed, these must always be replaced with version - B -.
^ If version - B - is installed, this can be reused.
^ Selector shaft securing bushings can also be replaced with transmission installed.
