• For the Audi Cabrio, different settings are stored for a closed or open convertible top in the Climatronic control module ( J255) A/C control head. When opening or closing the convertible top, the setting is automatically changed by the Climatronic control module (J255) A/C control head to the value that was last set when the convertible top was closed or open.

• Starting with model year 2003, Climatronic control module (J255) A/C control head with a part number starting with index "H" (software version"XX16" and higher) will be installed gradually. These Climatronic control module ( J255) A/C control heads deviate from the version with software version " XX15" as follows:

• - The temperature control for the passenger compartment in the Audi Cabrio and with an open convertible top was changed and designed to be slightly cooler.

• - The temperature setting range was expanded. 16°C can now be set as the lowest temperature (previously 18°C).





• This display field shows that the message received by the instrument cluster control module (J285) via the comfort data bus system contains a module regarding the "speech recognition for telephone operation" function.

• The "speech recognition for telephone operation" information is currently only transmitted in vehicles with factory-installed telephone hands-free equipment. Depending on the version of the vehicle, the information is only transmitted if the button for speech input has been pressed at least once since ignition activation or the telephone was used.

• Depending on the version of the Climatronic control module (J255) A/C control head, the information "speech 1" is only displayed as long as the information is actually received by the comfort data bus system.





• Compared to the powertrain data bus system, the comfort data bus system can also operate in single-wire mode. The system then operates in emergency mode.

• If no information is received on the comfort data bus system, the Climatronic control module (J255) A/C control head does not activate the A/C compressor regulator valve (N280 ) (compressor is switched off).
