Exhaust Flap Vacuum Reservoir, Checking

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required







- Hand vacuum pump VAS 6213

Test sequence
- Disconnect hose on vacuum diaphragm for exhaust flap at rear muffler.







- Connect Hand Vacuum Pump V.A.G 1390 to vacuum diaphragm.







- Generate vacuum using hand vacuum pump.
- Linkage must move toward front.
- Vent the hand vacuum pump.
- Linkage must move toward rear.

If linkage does not move:
- Check the linkage for ease of movement and check the vacuum diaphragm for leaks.
