Side Trim







Side Trim

Removing and installing is identical for the left and right sides.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Trim Removal Wedge (3409)

Removing






- Remove the sill panel strip. Refer to => [ Sill Panel ] Sill Panel.

- Remove the C-pillar trim. Refer to => [ C-Pillar Trim ] C-Pillar Trim.

- Remove the rear bench seat. Refer to => [ Bench Seat ] Bench Seat.

- Depending on the side, remove the 2/3 right backrest, refer to => [ Backrest ] Backrest or the 1/3 left backrest, refer to => [ Backrest ] Backrest.

- Remove the luggage compartment side trim. Refer to => [ Luggage Compartment Side Trim ] Luggage Compartment Side Trim.

- Unclip the side trim - 1 - beginning at the front using the trim removal wedge (3409) - arrows -.

- Remove the rear belt anchor. Refer to => [ Rear Belt Anchor ] Rear Belt Anchor.

- Thread the belt webbing with seat belt latch out through the belt extraction panel.

- Vehicles equipped with a treble speaker: Disconnect the harness connector and remove the side trim.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

If any clamps and clips remain in the body, remove them and insert them in the trim.

Check clamps and securing clips for damage or deformation, replace if necessary.

- Thread the belt webbing with seat belt latch through the belt extraction panel.

- Install the rear belt anchor. Refer to => [ Rear Belt Anchor ] Rear Belt Anchor.

- Position the side trim and press it on until all the mounting points engage.

- Stretch the door seal lip over the side trim.
