Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 24 number 09-10 dated June 1, 2009 for reasons listed below.
Affected Vehicles
Condition
This RVU has been proactively released to prevent the following condition from occurring in the vehicle:
Vehicles may not meet IM Inspection test parameters in states that require a 2500 RPM steady engine speed to be held for a given time period.
This Required Vehicle Update (RVU) is in effect until June 10, 2014. After that date, this RVU will expire and no longer be in effect.
Vehicle must meet all of the following criteria:
^ Procedure is valid only for vehicles that show the 24F3 code in the ElsaWeb Campaign/Action Information screen on the day of repair.
^ Vehicle must be within the Federal Emissions Warranty.
^ Procedure must be performed within the allotted time frame stated in this Technical Service Bulletin.
^ Procedure must be performed on applicable vehicles in dealer inventory prior to sale.
Technical Background
Production Solution
New software in Engine Control Module J623 (S5) and J623 and J624 (R8) addressed the condition.
Service
1. Follow all instructions in the attached TSB 2011732 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.
2. Update ECM J623 and J624 using the SVM action code as listed in the table above, if necessary.
Warranty

Approved battery charger.
