Wiring Harness in Transmission

Removing


There is a risk of destroying the transmission control module (Mechatronic) with static discharge.

Before touching or removing the Mechatronics unit, you must first discharge yourself of any static electricity by touching (bare handed) some grounded metal object (for example car, lifting platform).

Never touch contacts in 16-pin connector, as the static charge could destroy the control module and thus the Mechatronic unit.

- Remove the Mechatronic unit. Refer to => [ Mechatronic Unit ] Service and Repair.

- To discharge static electricity, touch the transmission housing (without wearing gloves).

- Disconnect the connector on transmission by rotating screw connections counter-clockwise - arrow -.






- Remove the wiring harness clip - A -.






Ignore - arrows -.

- Press the wiring harness connector - B - into the transmission and remove the wiring harness.

Installing

Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

- Replace wiring harness connector O-rings and lightly coat with ATF.

- Insert the wiring harness connector into the transmission housing while following the installation position.

- Install the clip - A - on the wiring harness connector - B -.






- Install Mechatronic unit. Refer to => [ Mechatronic Unit ] Service and Repair.
