Amplifier: Service and Repair

Amplifier (MMI)

The amplifier (R12) is located behind the luggage compartment left side trim.

The amplifier is attached to the bottom side of the Infotainment rack.

- Switch off all electrical consumers.

- Remove the key.

Removing

Vehicles with luggage compartment storage bin:

- Open left luggage compartment storage bin.

Vehicles without luggage compartment storage bin:

- Remove the left luggage compartment trim panel.

All vehicles:

- Loosen nuts - 2 - and - 4 - (5 Nm) and screw - 1 - (5 Nm) on Infotainment rack - 3 -.





- Tip rack into luggage compartment until nuts on amplifier can be reached.

- Disconnect connector on amplifier.





- Remove the nuts - 2 - (2 Nm).

- Remove amplifier - 3 - downward from rack - 1 -.

Installing

- Install in reverse order.
