TV System

TV Tuner (Analog/Hybrid), RSE through MY 05

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Fiber optic plier repair set (VAS 6223)

• Protective cap for cable connector (VAS 6223/9)

Vehicles with RSE

• On vehicles with RSE, a retrofitted TV Tuner (R78) (analog) is used. This is identified by an additional data plate.

• When replacing, replace in conjunction with "Quattro GmbH".

All vehicles

• If control module is replaced, select "Replacement" function for appropriate control module in "Guided Fault-Finding" routine. Use the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051) to do so.

- Switch off all electrical consumers.

- Remove the key.

Removing

- Remove the luggage compartment trim panel on the left side.

- Install the parking aid control module (J446). .

- Disconnect all connectors from the control modules.

- Attach the (VAS 6223/9) - 1 - onto the MOST bus connectors - 2 -.





Vehicles with a Digital Radio (R147) and a Digital TV Tuner (R171)

- Remove the digital TV tuner. Refer to=> [ Digital TV Tuner, with Digital Radio (DAB) ]. Digital TV Tuner, With Digital Radio (DAB)

All Vehicles

- Loosen the nuts - arrows - (6 Nm) and remove the fuse panel - 1 -.





- Remove the nuts - arrows - (8 Nm) on mounting points of retaining plate - 3 -.





- Disconnect the connectors from the digital sound system control module (J525) - 1 - and from the TV tuner (R78) - 2 -.

- Attach the (VAS 6223/9) - 1 - onto the MOST bus connectors - 2 -.





- Remove the retaining plate - 3 - toward the right.

- Remove the digital sound system control module. Refer to => [ Digital Sound System Control Module, Standard, through MY 05 ] Radio System.

- Remove the screws - arrows - (3 Nm) on the back of the retaining plate - 2 - for the TV tuner - 1 -.





- Remove TV Tuner - 1 - from retaining plate - 2 -.

Installing

- Install in reverse order.
