Follow the safety precautions for pyrotechnic components.

- Disconnect the battery ground wire with the ignition off.


Before handling pyrotechnical components (for example, disconnecting the connector), the person handling them must "discharge static electricity". For example, by briefly touching the door striker pin.

- Connect the airbag connector - 3 - to the airbag adapter connector - 4 -.





- If equipped, connect voltage supply connector for airbag adapter - 2 - to voltage supply connector for seat connector - 2 -.


The (VAS 6235) must stay connected to seat until seat is installed again.

Ensure airbag adapter engages correctly.

Airbag connectors are connected in the following sequence, note the following:

Ensure that electrical connections are pushed in as far as stop and engage with a click.


Connect the battery with the ignition switched on. Pyrotechnic components could deploy after connecting the battery if they were not repaired correctly. Individuals must not be inside the vehicle when connecting the battery.

- Disconnect the battery ground wire with the ignition switched on.

If Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) (K75) indicates a fault after installation, DTC memory must be checked, deleted and checked again.
