Brake Pedal

Removing

- Remove the driver side storage tray.

- Remove the brake lamp switch by rotating it 45° toward the left.

• If the vehicle has a brake lamp switch depends on the model.

- Disconnect brake pedal from brake booster. Refer to => [ Brake Pedal and Brake Booster ] Brake Pedal and Brake Booster.

- Remove the hex bolt.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, with special attention to the following:

• Lubricate mounting points with polyurea grease (G 052 142 A2) before installing

- Hold ball head of push rod in front of mounting and push brake pedal in direction of brake booster, so the ball head engages audibly. Refer to => [ Brake Pedal and Brake Booster ] Brake Pedal and Brake Booster






- Install the brake lamp switch. Refer to => [ Brake Lamp Switch on Brake Pedal ] Brake Lamp Switch on Brake Pedal.

• If the vehicle has a brake lamp switch depends on the model.

Tightening Specifications
