Battery in Luggage Compartment, Disconnecting and Connecting

Disconnecting






- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

- Remove the rear molded insert - 3 - which holds the vehicle tools located under the luggage compartment floor.

- Unhook the retaining strap - 2 - and remove the front molded insert - 1 -.

- Open the flap above the main fuse box in the luggage compartment.






- Remove the nut and disconnect the ground cable form the threaded pin.

- To prevent the ground cable from coming in contact with the body and short circuiting, cover the end of the ground cable with tape.

Connecting

- Connect the ground cable eye to the threaded pin and tighten the nut.

When connecting the battery, perform the following steps:

Follow the steps before starting the engine. Refer to owner's manual.

Activate the power window regulator one-touch up/down function. Refer to owner's manual.

Synchronizing the remote control. Refer to owner's manual.

Check the DTC memories of all the control units and erase Undervoltage fault if necessary.

After connecting the power supply, the ABS warning lamp may only go out after the vehicle has been driven a few yards.
