Lateral/Rear Guide

Removing

- Remove the rear bumper cover. Refer to => [ Rear Bumper Cover ] Rear Bumper Cover.

- If equipped, detach the electrical connector - 2 - from the radio frequency controlled clock receiver (J489).

- Remove the bolts - arrows -.






- Remove the rear guide - 1 -.

- Remove rear wheel housing liner. Refer to => [ Rear Wheel Housing Liner ] Rear Wheel Housing Liner.






- Remove the bolts - arrows - and nuts - 1 -.

- Remove lateral guide piece - 2 -.

Installing

• For the correct tightening specifications => [ Rear Impact Member, Lateral Guide, Rear Guide ] Rear Bumper Cover Overview.

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

- Place the guide sideways - A - on the vehicle body.

- Tighten the bolts and nuts in the following sequence: - 1 through 5 -.






- Install the rear guide - A - onto the lateral guide and tighten the bolts in the following sequence: - 1 through 3 -.
