Steering Column Switch Module Trim

Removing

- Pull steering wheel with adjuster all the way out and adjust downward.

Upper Steering Column Trim:





- Remove gap cover - 1 - in - direction of arrow -.

- Remove upper part of steering column trim upward from lower part - arrows -.





- Remove gap cover and disengage upper part of steering column trim from lower part.

Lower Steering Column Trim:





The steering wheel is not shown in the overview. It is not necessary to remove the steering wheel. To access the screws - 1 and 2 -, turn the steering 90° to the left and then to the right from its straight-head position.

- Remove the screws - 4 - and remove the handle - 3 - for the steering column adjustment.

- Remove the screws - 1 -, - 2 - and - 5 -.

- Remove lower part of steering column trim.

Installation





Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

- First install lower part of trim and then handle.

- Then hook front of upper part of steering column trim into lower part - arrow 1 -.

- Make sure the pin in the rear lower steering column trim piece fits into the opening on the upper steering column trim piece - arrow 2 -.

- Engage gap cover on instrument cluster.
