Backrest Cover and Cushion





1 Backrest Cover

Removing

- Remove seat. Refer to => [ Seat ] Front RS Sport Seat.

- Remove the backrest. Refer to => [ Front Backrest and Seat Pan ] Front RS Sport Seat.

- Remove both outer parts of belt guide. Refer to => [ Outer Part of Belt Guide, Removing and Installing ] Front RS Sport Seat.

- Pry out cover on belt guide, drill out pop rivet with a dia. 5.0 mm drill and remove belt guide. Refer to => [ Belt Guide, Removing and Installing ].

- Pry grip channel at edge of backrest cover - 1 - all around out of guide at backrest - 6 -. Refer to => [ Pry grip channel for backrest cover out of guide ].

- in bending sections, grip channel is also secured using retaining clamps - 3 -, carefully remove retaining clamps.

- Carefully loosen seams of backrest cover from Velcro fastener at backrest cushion - 4 -.

- Disengage lower retaining strip at pneumatic block - 5 -.

- Remove backrest cover.

Installing

To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order.

2 Outer Part of Belt Guide

Removing and Installing, refer to => [ Outer Part of Belt Guide, Removing and Installing ] Front RS Sport Seat

3 Retaining Clamps (Qty. 8)

For grip channel of backrest cover

Install in bend in backrest

4 Backrest Padding

Removing

- Remove backrest cover - 1 -.

- Disengage flaps for backrest bolster inflation adjustment - 7 - at retaining bracket of backrest, refer to => [ Disengaging flap for backrest bolster inflation adjustment ].

- Disconnect pneumatic hose to backrest bolster inflation adjustment.

- Remove backrest cushion from backrest.

Installing

To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order.

5 Pneumatic Block

Removing

- Remove backrest cover - 1 -.

- Remove backrest cushion - 4 -.

- Carefully loosen bonding of pneumatic block from backrest.

- Swing pneumatic block toward front at upper edge.

- Free up electrical wiring harness.

- Remove pneumatic block.

Installing

To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order.

- If necessary, replace double adhesive tape.

6 Backrest

Removing and Installing, refer to => [ Front Backrest and Seat Pan ] Front RS Sport Seat

7 Belt guide

Removing and Installing, refer to => [ Belt Guide, Removing and Installing ]

8 Trim

for belt guide

Removing and Installing, refer to => [ Belt Guide, Removing and Installing ]

9 Pop rivet

10 Flap for backrest bolster inflation adjustment

Disengage. Refer to => [ Disengaging flap for backrest bolster inflation
adjustment ]

Belt Guide, Removing and Installing





- Pry out trim - 1 - with Pry Lever (80 - 200) at outer corner - arrow A -.

- Remove trim downward - arrow B -.

- Drill out pop rivets - arrows - with a dia. 5.0 mm drill.





- Remove belt guide - 1 - from backrest frame.

Pry grip channel for backrest cover out of guide





- Starting at bottom, pry grip channel for backrest cover out of guide at backrest, using e.g. an awl - arrow -; lightly press together backrest cushion in order to release backrest cover.

Disengaging flap for backrest bolster inflation adjustment





- Swivel backrest bolster inward - arrow A - and disengage flaps - 1 - for backrest bolster inflation adjustment at retaining bracket - 3 - of backrest - arrow B -.

- Disconnect pneumatic hose - 2 - to backrest bolster inflation adjustment.

- Remove backrest cushion from backrest.
