Rear Wheel Speed Sensor

Removing

- Loosen the wheel bolts.

- Raise the vehicle.

- Remove the wheel and tire.

- Switch the ignition off.

- Remove the speed sensor bolt - 2 -.





- Remove the wheel speed sensor - 1 - from the wheel bearing housing.

- Loosen the Torx bolt - 3 - and remove the cable bracket.

- Remove the bolt - 1 -.





- Loosen the Torx bolt - 2 - and pull out the cable bracket.

- Unclip the speed sensor wiring from the retainers.





- Detach the underside cover - arrows -.





- Lift the rear seat out of the locking device.

- On convertible vehicles, also remove the side trim.

- Release the cable bracket, disconnect the speed sensor electrical connector - 1 - and press out the grommet (left and right sides are the same).





Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal.

- Before installing, lubricate the speed sensor seal all around with lubricating paste (G 000 650).
