Backup Lamp Switch: Service and Repair
Back-Up Lamp Switch
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1331)
Removing
- If equipped, loosen quick-release connectors - 3 - and remove rear noise insulation - B -.
- Disconnect electrical harness connector - arrow - at Back-Up Light Switch (F4) at right on transmission.
- Remove Back-Up Light Switch - arrow - from selector shaft cover.
Installing
- Install the back-up lamp switch - arrow - into the selector shaft cover.
- Connect the connector - arrow - on the Back-Up Light Switch (F4) to the transmission on the right side.
