Transmission Cover Assembly Overview





1 Transmission cover

• Install the plugs on a new transmission cover => [ (Item 9) Sealing plug ]

• Install the new plugs so that they are flush, refer to => [ Installing the Plug Flush ] Transmission Cover Servicing

2 Alignment bushing

• quantity: 2

• For centering the transmission cover on the bearing housing

• Removing and installing using a Drift (3121)

3 Needle bearing

• For hollow shaft mounting in transmission cover

• Removing, refer to => [ Press Needle Bearing Out of Transmission Cover ] Transmission Cover Servicing

• Installing, refer to => [ Press Needle Bearing into Transmission Cover ] Transmission Cover Servicing

4 Roller sleeve

• For input shaft mounting in transmission cover

• With oil guide

• Always replace

• Pulling out, refer to => [ Remove Roller Sleeve from Transmission Cover ] Transmission Cover Servicing

• Installing, refer to => [ Carefully Press New Roller Sleeve into Transmission
Cover to Stop. ] Transmission Cover Servicing

5 Ball sleeve

• For 1st and 2nd gear selector rod

• Pulling out, refer to => [ Remove the Ball Sleeve from
the Transmission Cover. ] Transmission Cover Servicing

• Driving in, refer to => [ Installing the Ball Sleeve Flush into the Transmission
Cover ] Transmission Cover Servicing

6 Ball sleeve

• For 5th and 6th gear selector rod

• Pulling out, refer to => [ Remove the Ball Sleeve from
the Transmission Cover. ] Transmission Cover Servicing

• Driving in, refer to => [ Installing the Ball Sleeve Flush into the Transmission
Cover ] Transmission Cover Servicing

7 Internal multi-point bolt, 24 Nm

8 Mounting plate

• Secures the needle bearing => [ (Item 3) Needle bearing ] and roller sleeve => [ (Item 4) Roller sleeve ] inside the transmission cover

• Location, refer to => [ Securing the Roller Sleeve and Needle Bearing
Inside the Transmission Cover ] Transmission Cover Servicing

9 Sealing plug

• Install flush, refer to => [ Installing the Plug Flush ] Transmission Cover Servicing

10 O-Ring

• Always replace
