Transmission Cover Servicing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Press Needle Bearing Out of Transmission Cover





Press Needle Bearing into Transmission Cover





Support transmission cover directly underneath the bearing mount using Tube (2010).

Remove the Ball Sleeve - C - from the Transmission Cover.





A Support, e.g. ( Kukko 22/2)
B Internal Puller 14.5 - 18.5 mm, e.g. (Kukko 21/2)

Installing the Ball Sleeve Flush into the Transmission Cover





Mount the ball sleeve - 1 - and - 2 - with the lettered side (thicker metal) facing the Guide Bolt ( 10 - 15) or Centering Mandrel (3176).

Due to the depth of the housing, use the Centering Mandrel (3176) to install the ball sleeve - 2 -.

Remove Roller Sleeve from Transmission Cover





Shorten the oil guide inside the roller sleeve to be able to insert the internal puller - B -.

A Support, e.g. ( Kukko 22/2)
B Internal Puller 30 - 37 mm, e.g. (Kukko 21/5)

Always replace roller sleeve after removing.

Carefully Press New Roller Sleeve into Transmission Cover to Stop.





Support transmission cover under bearing mount with Thrust Ring (2006 A).

Securing the Roller Sleeve and Needle Bearing Inside the Transmission Cover





- Install bracket - 2 - with the raised offset - arrow - for the needle bearing - 1 - facing the transmission cover.

- Tighten the hex socket head bolt - 3 - to 24 Nm.

Installing the Plug Flush - arrow -

New transmission covers are supplied with or without plugs - arrow - depending on the version.
